    Description

This Four Flags Over Aspen blue nylon small muzzle was used exactly 1 TIME for my little 10.4 pound, 10-year-old rescue dog Abby.
It is in Like New condition, but I’m not allowed to list it as such.
At the end of May 2024, I took Abby and my huge German Shepherd to my vet for their annual checkup. Since I’d called to tell the office that I’d be bringing them in alone, the vet techs brought muzzles out to my car for both of them prior to my walking in. Abby didn’t even need a muzzle, and I should have refused it….!
I didn’t realize till the end of the appointment that the muzzles had been sold to me for each - that they weren’t loaned to me for the visit, like vets will loan a leash at times…
*** The muzzle fit tightly around Abby’s snout. There is NO room for adjustment there since it is sewn together. However, the strap section that fits around the neck can be adjusted with the black plastic buckle. Please see photos.
Tag states that this “Quick Muzzle” is Size Small.
Tag also states that the muzzle is for temporary use only to control dog and prevent biting. It is not to be used when your animal is unattended.
I believe the fabric material is nylon, but it’s not listed on the tag.
The muzzle is made in the USA.
    Note:
Very sadly, Abby died on June 26 (about a month after she used this muzzle) following a valiant 2-day attempt to save her life by a friend’s vet. My own vet informed me that she couldn’t see Abby till the following day…. So I became acutely aware that there are vets who actually love animals and there are those who see it entirely as a job. (I observed my friend’s wonderful vet gently combing the fur around Abby’s mouth while he was working on her a few hours before she died - and of course he wasn’t using a muzzle on her… His kindness to her was very touching to me and must have been a comfort to my sweet little girl.)
Needless to say, I will be changing vets after 7 years with this one in Lake City, SC.
The wonderful elderly vet who worked to save my tiny mutt-dog believes it was a rattlesnake bite. He says she must have encountered a big bad snake in my yard. As of late July, I remain heartbroken. Even her “little” brother the German Shepherd and Sam the Cat seem “off” to me as we all adjust to Abby’s absence in my home.
Of course, I’ve included photos of her and her German shepherd brother in my car prior to her last routine checkup. She was an absolute sweetheart and was very much loved. :-(
    Payment:
Please submit payment within 3 days. Only US bids are honored.
    Shipping:
I fear the muzzle is too “fat” to travel by First Class Mail. If so, I’ll send it by Ground Advantage for their cheapest rate of .00.
(If I discover at the post office that it’ll go by cheaper First Class, I’ll refund that difference to you. However, I can’t use as much bubble wrap if I try to send it First Class.)
