Holt Howard cozy kitty ash tray w/ meow “works”. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Mail. Here is a piece of what I call my “Cozy Kitty” collection. I had never seen a “working” one when I got this one and I’ve not seen one since. It is not marked with sticker or stamp. It is stamped Japan with “PATENTN0(J)48012 on the bottom. The way to make the meowing sound push the center handle down which opens the top for ashes and makes a sound which I guess it’s supposed be a meow. The only flaw I can see is in the painting of the tie under the chin. The one in the book is painted blue with dots. This just has a blue tie but does have a darker spot on it. Take a look at one of the pictures you’ll see what I mean. Other than that I can see no flaws. Our Holt Howard collection is one of our last collections to sell. I know that they’re just things.
