MerCruiser, Volvo Penta, 5.0L Vortec Marine Engine (1996-Current) Remanufactured
1996-current
Vortec 5.0L remanufactured marine engine (one piece rear main seal, roller cam and roller lifters). This motor has been professionally remanufactured to meet or exceed GM OEM marine engine stock specifications. This Vortec 5.0L marine engine puts out 40-50 more horsepower than pre-vortec engines. A 5.0L Vortec is rated at 220-270 hp at the crank (depending on 2 or 4 barrel intake, carb or EFI, exhaust manifolds, etc). This 5.0L engine will work in all pre-1996 5.0L (305 ci) applications with some modifications.
This 5.0L marine engine comes equipped with the following:
5.0L GM marine engine (standard rotation)
Corrosion resistant black urethane paint
Vortec cylinder heads, engine block and all internal components
Roller cam and roller lifters
5-quart marine oil pan
Fel-Pro marine head gaskets
Harmonic balancer, timing cover and circulation pump
One-Year (parts and labor) Warranty
Will work in pre-1996 5.0L/5.7L applications with updated intake manifold and electric fuel pump
One-Year (parts & labor) Written Warranty
