Original Belgian 3rd Lancer's Parachute Battalion Beret Badge

Description

Original Belgian 3rd Lancer's Parachute Battalion beret badge.  Silver color as used by N.C.O.'s/other ranks.  The 3rd Lancer's trace their history back to a 19rh century Calvary unit.  After WWII, it became a reconnaissance unit stationed in Germany during the Cold War.  When the Cold War ended they were reformed in 1992 as a Para-Commando unit and remained so until 2003 when Belgium restructured their military.  Two pin back fasteners to the back, one that has broken off.  This exact type of fastener was used in the mid-1990's.  Condition is unissued.
